NDIS Psychotherapy

What Is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

The NDIS is a national system of providing funding for people living with a disability, or multiple disabilities that have a debilitating impact on their life.

Psychology in NDIS Plans

Often NDIS Plans involve funding for psychology sessions to meet a range of goals including:

  • Adjustment to disability

  • Positive behaviour support, including restrictive behaviour assessment

  • Emotional regulation support specifically related to a disability

  • Behavioural activation to enable participation in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

  • Goal setting and scaffolding of steps to achieve those goals

  • Values-driven exploration to create a meaningful life around factors associated with disability

NDIS Services at Deep Blue Psychology

Currently, we can offer services for clients who are self-managed or plan-managed.

Please let us know upon booking the initial appointment if you/your child is self-managed or plan-managed and also, provide us a copy of the NDIS Plan.

For self-managed, we will take payment after the appointment and provide you the invoice for claiming. For plan-managed, please provide us with the plan manager’s details, including name & email, and we will invoice them for payment.

We are working on becoming NDIS providers; however due to delays of no fault of our own we are now in a position where we need to wait to re-initiate the process.
